Rianta Winter Exhibition 2013

"Winter" a themed Exhibition of specially selected works for the Festive Season.

Official opening: Wednesday 27th November at 7.00p.m.
Location: At the Teachers’ Centre on Main Street, Cavan Town, Co. Cavan.

Dates of opening over two weekends:

Wednesday 27th November to Saturday 30th November,
Time: 12 noon to 6.00p.m.

The following week:

Wednesday 4th December to Saturday 7th December.
Time: 12noon to 6.00p.m.

The Rianta Art Group are happy to announce their second annual Christmas Exhibition focusing on the theme of "Winter" which is taking place at the Teachers' Centre on Main Street, Cavan, following on from their successful "Different Perspectives" Exhibition that ran in conjunction with the Life of Reilly Festival in August. Rianta committee welcome you to join them on Opening night Wednesday 27th of November at 7.00p.m. for seasonal refreshments of hot mulled wine and mince pies in a relaxed, inspiring environment showcasing a diverse range of high quality contemporary art and showcasing local Artists connected with Cavan.

The Artists showing are: Kim Hannigan, Muriel Allen, Orlagh Murphy,Denise Walsh, Judith Cullivan, Caroline Fay, Paul Galligan, Imelda Bradley, Collette Kearney, Kim Doherty, Amna Kiran, Dr. Khallid, Pauline Halton, Eamon Reilly, Margaret McKenna, Loreto McCormick and Freda Young.

Art for All Exhibition Halloween 2013

Art Exhibition featuring selected works by Rianta & Virginia Artists Groups, to run in conjunction with the Pumpkin Festival.

We are open daily 11am until 6pm from Thursday 24th of October until Monday the 28th of October.

Opening Reception is on Thursday 24th of October at 7pm.

I took part in this event with several of the Rianta Artists, here are some of the works I had on show

Shortly before the Pumpkin Festival Exhibition, my friend Marilyn Gaffney modelled for me as a monarch butterfly/wood nymph for a makeup show.

I wrote about this on my makeup blog http://kimannabellamua.blogspot.com/

I loved doing such a big makeup, it was my first attempted and I had a great reception for it, but it's not that surprising really as it isn't everyday that an artist turns their hand to makeup artistry. I can only think of Laura Mercier.

I hope to incorporate more photographic work into my art from now on.
